Emergency Management

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) #12

LEPC #12 operates with the assistance of TRORC, and under the authority of the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC). LEPC #12 is a regional organization whose responsibilities are established by Federal and Vermont law. These duties relate to helping communities plan for and respond to hazardous materials incidents. However, LEPC #12 is taking a broader “all-hazards” approach to emergency planning. This is proper since many incidents, from floods to fires, involve hazardous substances. It will also ensure more thorough planning, as agencies will work together more often and on a wider variety of issues. Use the link below to access the LEPC #12 web site.
