The Town of Rochester received funding through the Vermont Bike Pedestrian Grant Program to identify key priority sidewalk/bicycle facilities in Rochester Village, and plan for future engineering, design, and construction. The Town of Rochester is requesting proposals from qualified consultants for the project, which will consist of a planning process that identifies the needs of pedestrians and/or bicyclists for several roads in Rochester Village, taking into consideration the existing conditions. Duties will include drafting contract plans, specifications and preliminary construction cost estimates, and providing design engineering services, as detailed in the Scope of Work.  Qualified applicants will have documented successful experience on similar VTrans Municipal Assistance Bureau projects.  A contract awarded under this advertisement shall be funded by the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Consultants responding to this request shall comply with all relevant state transportation regulations as required by the agency.  Electronic copies of the Request for Proposals will be transmitted to interested consultants immediately following an email request made to Rita Seto at [email protected].  Questions will be referred to Rita Seto with responses transmitted to all firms having requested the Scope-of-Work.  Project field tours are available upon request to anyone interested.  Bidders are required to be on VTrans’ PreQualification List or determined eligible 5 days before bid opening.  Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on Friday January 16, 2015 to the Town of Rochester, PO Box 238, Rochester, VT 05767.
