The Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) is pleased to announce the 2020 Economic & Infrastructure Development grant application opportunity. Eligible organizations, which include nonprofit and governmental entities (state, local & Indian tribes), will be able to access grant application details (available via NBRC’s website, nbrc.gov), beginning March 2. While not required, Letters of Interest are requested by March 31, and the online application portal (also available via NBRC’s website, nbrc.gov) will be open by April 6. Applications are due by 5pm on Friday, May 15.
Thanks to the support of the congressional delegation across the NBRC region, the Commission’s appropriation increased significantly in 2020, and each State in the region (Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont) will be able to support additional projects compared with 2019.
“I am happy that each state in the NBRC region will have access to additional funds in 2020,” said NBRC Federal Co-Chair Harold B. Parker. “This is an exciting time of year for us because we get a first look at applications that collectively represent the cutting edge of economic development in rural communities across the NBRC region. We look forward to supporting these projects in 2020.”
