We Need Your Help
The Way to Go! School Challenge is just around the corner (9/25-10/6). Are your community schools signed up to battle carbon pollution?
We need your help to encourage your local schools to participate in this year’s Challenge. See the list of schools to see who is signed up to participate. One lucky school could win an AllEarth Renewables Solar Tracker!
We have a number of resources available to help your schools participate, including:
- A School Success Kit: Leaders will receive a packet in the mail, but there are also helpful materials posted online that can be downloaded, including a tracking sheet, school leader directory, posters, videos, and even a social media post.
- Transportation Ideas: Schools can learn their options for getting around during the Challenge. They can learn how to create an event through Zimride, or how to use the Google Map tool to navigate their path to success. Taking the bus also counts!
- The Young Writers Project: This year, we’ve partnered with the YWP on a carbon-cutting themed writing prompt. Students who participate will be considered for publication in local newspapers, as well as VPR.net and VtDigger.org, during the challenge dates (Sept. 25-Oct. 6).
We’re here to help each school get organized as we lead up to the event. Questions? Contact: 800.685.RIDE (7433) or [email protected]
What Do The Schools Win?
A fully-permitted AllEarth Solar Tracker is up for grabs. If 50% or more of a school participates on just one day, it is automatically entered to win. This can mean big savings!
Schools can also win a Carbon Cup or Carbon-Cutting Leader trophy for participation. Learn more about Awards & Prizes.
