The TRORC Board of Directors has granted regional approval to newly-adopted town plans for Bradford and West Fairlee. The public hearings were held during December’s regularly-scheduled board meeting at the Woodstock Inn & Resort, just down the hill from TRORC’s King Farm offices. The board also held hearings for Act 174 Determinations of Energy Compliance for each town–both of which were granted.
A Determination of Energy Compliance demonstrates that a given town has put significant effort into planning for its future energy needs. In exchange, the town’s siting preferences receive “substantial deference” in Public Utility Commission hearings regarding new utility infrastructure proposed within the town.
