TRORC Workshop: Utilities/Facilities Planning & Capital Budgeting @ Barnard Town Hall
Nov 7 @ 2:00 am – 4:00 am

Our communities are regularly faced with decisions regarding when to build facilities, how to decide on services, and how to pay for major capital investments such as new roads, heavy equipment, parks or public facilities.

By undertaking a thorough review of these issues in the development of a town plan’s utility and facility element, towns can understand and prioritize their needs and their costs.  Then, through a Capital Budget and Program, a community can link their long-term development plans with its annual budgeting process.  Taking these steps will allow your community to sensibly invest in infrastructure and services without overburdening taxpayers in any given year.  This task can seem daunting, but is actually quite doable when broken down into simple steps.

Join the staff of the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission in an evening workshop and discussion that will provide some easy-to-use tools for creating a Utilities and Facilities plan element and Capital Budget and Program.

This workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 7:00pm at the Barnard Town Hall.  Refreshments will be provided.  To RSVP, contact Kevin Geiger at [email protected] or at 802-457-3188 ext 24.
