PUBLIC NOTICE

The Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) hereby provides public notice of the draft General Permit 3-9040 for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Roads. The draft MRGP General Permit covers stormwater discharges from all municipal roads, Classes 1-4.

Upon issuance of the final MRGP, municipalities are required to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the Agency by July 31, 2018 to obtain coverage under the MRGP.

The public is invited to provide written comment on the draft MRGP through the close of business (4:30pm) on October 27, 2017.

MRGP Best Management Practices to Meet the Permit and Effective Maintenance of Ditch Spoil @ Chelsea Town Garage

TRORC is in the process of updating their Regional Plan to include these new requirements and are also revising the Natural Resources Chapter. All are welcome to join and give their feedback on these elements of the TRORC Regional Plan.

Emergency Management Director Course @ Hartford Fire Department

The first delivery of the Local EMD course will be November 16th, 2017, 5:30-7:30pm at the Hartford Fire Station. This will be Block One only, Building a Baseline.

Blocks 2-4 will be offered in the months of December, January and February. Dates are TBD. Times and location remain the same.

  Course Objectives:

Prepare the local Emergency Management Director to perform his/her duties through all phases of a local emergency: Preparation, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.
