Buy Local Forum
Jul 28 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

With the response to Covid-19 ravaging our economy, Vermonters are getting creative as we figure out new ways to support local businesses. While “buying local” is nothing new, doing so has new urgency as many of the local businesses that help define the character of our communities hang on by a thread. Around the state individuals and organizations are developing new ways to increase focus on spending locally as a way to support and strengthen Vermont’s businesses during this tumultuous time.

The Local Support and Community Action Team of the Governor’s Economic Mitigation and Recovery Task Force is sponsoring an online workshop produced by the Vermont Council on Rural Development about strengthening Buy Local efforts throughout Vermont. The goal is to hear from both statewide and local perspectives as we all work to promote the local spending that helps fuel our economy. Hear presentations during the first half of the workshop, and the (optional) second half will provide an opportunity to share ideas and best practices.

Tuesday, July 28, 12:00 to 1:30 PM
