Investing in the New Economy: Investments for the Sake of Climate and Community
At this public, half-day symposium participants will consider practical investment strategies as presented by the White River Investment Club, the Vermont Community Loan Fund, the Vermont Food Investor Network and other leaders in the field. A panel of speakers featuring Gus Speth, noted environmentalist and founder of the New Economy Law Center at Vermont Law School, will frame the need for transformative action, with other presenters available to answer questions and point to viable options to accommodate portfolios of all sizes. The symposium is also a chance to talk about a fossil-fuel free “new economy” and set a framework for local farm and food system investment opportunities.
