On Thursday, November 10, the Woodstock Emergency Operations Committee and members of the Woodstock Irene team invite you to an evening of how to be prepared for the next weather event. “Why, What and Where” will remind people of why storms like Irene will be only  more frequent, what we can do to be prepared, what to do when storms hit and where to go. Climatoligist Cath Geiger will give an explanation of the sceince behind the more frequent storms. Speakers from the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission and the Community Emergency Response Team will give us the steps that we can take now to help us during a disaster. Representatives from the American Red Cross and Vermont Alert will be available to explain their services. Members of the Woodstock Irene Team will remind is how important it is to be prepared as a community, building on lessons that we learned during Irene.
