A project grown out of Tropical Storm Irene, when mobile homes were disproportionately damaged because they are often located in harm’s way and because many are built to very poor standards. VHCB, Efficiency Vermont and many others wanted to find out whether there could be more durable, energy efficient, healthy and affordable options for mobile homes in Vermont.
Thanks to the collaborative effort ten pilot homes are being built and sited in non-profit owned parks around Vermont as part of a pilot project that grew out of a nine month multi-stakeholder study and report.
